NASHVILLE – April 25, 2016 – Off to a strong start with its numerous courses on the basics of the music business called the PCG Essentials Line, PCG Online (www.pcg24-7.com) – the globally available online extension of leading artist development company PCG Nashville (www.pcgnashville.com) – is launching a dynamic new program, The Artist’s Thrive Guide Bootcamp.
Created and instructed by four time Grammy nominee and four time Dove Award winner Margaret Becker, the course is designed to show an aspiring artist, in Becker’s words, “Everything I wish I knew about the music business when I first started.” The program is comprised of four modules and includes over one hour of critical video instruction and exercises to engage all types of students.
Module 1, Defining Your Thrive, is “step one” for fast tracking students towards major growth in their careers. They’re taught to “take a firm hold of your trajectory – your desired outcome, by fully defining and understanding the ‘what,’ the ‘why’ and the ‘how-to’s’ of achieving your specific dream.” Students will learn to break through the barriers that keep them from growing audiences and memorability, and how to push through to the next level of success in their music careers.
Module 2, The One True Lie, Part 1, asks and addresses the following questions: “In a world where the music landscape is dense with talent, how do you stand out and jump ahead? What steps can you take to leave a memorable, positive impression everywhere you go? How can you consistently grow your fan-base and credibility? How do you show up like a pro every time, even when the odds are against you?” Becker offers a world of strategies that will quickly take students out of the “getting there” artist category and into the “already there” category. In this module, they will learn how to build credibility, highlight individuality and distinguish themselves from the pack by using time-honed strategies.
Module 3, The One True Lie, Part 2, shows students how to apply these concepts to everyday artist specifics, covering strategic moves designed to tighten performances, grow artistic presence and convert casual listeners into ambassadors for the artist and his/her work. Putting legs to the One True Lieconcept can change the course and tempo of a career for the better. Students are urged to “bring your imagination to this session and dig in. Find the specific changes you need to make, and begin to step up your entire gig to pro level.”
Module 4, Unfazed Excellence, helps take the students’ music and performance from “great” to “amazing.” They will learn what the pros do to ensure they consistently showcase their best traits at any performance and become the artist people can’t stop talking about. In this session, students also learn how to consistently stay in relationship with the audience and bolster their confidence. Becker identifies the hindrances that impede the performer’s ability to fully communicate, and corrects them.
